I'm back with more cards using the Simon Says Stamp Baby Party Animals stamp set and matching dies. I also used the MISTI stamping tool to create the text panels.
For this first card I stamped the word "Baby" with three different colors of pink to create an ombre look. I decided I wanted some texture on the background so I used a pink ink pad to color white embossing paste and used a Tim Holtz stencil to create the distressed dots.
This is my very first attempt at no-line coloring with copics. I'm pretty sure I need lots more practice, but I am fairly happy with my first attempt!
This second card uses the same monkey stamp - because he is just too cute! I decided to stick with complementary colors blue and orange.
I popped up the banner, monkey, and present and added some orange enamel dots to finish off the card.
That's all for today! Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Baby
End of the school year, folks... I am not finding enough time to play in my craft room. Thank goodness summer is just around the corner!
I have a friend who is having a baby shower this weekend for I had an excuse to go play and make a card for her. I used the Simon Says Stamp Baby Party Animals stamp set and matching dies to make this fun shaker card:
I colored the stamped images with Copics - including lots of little hearts from the stamp set as part of my shaker.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Mondo Magnolia - Technique #2
Hello all!
I am back with my second day of using the new Mondo Magnolia stamp set from Ellen Hutson. Today I heat embossed the Magnolia stamp with white embossing powder and used Peerless Watercolors. I used two shades for each card - two pinks and two yellows. The matching die set makes cutting out the flowers a breeze.
For this first card I die cut several leaves from both the Wild Garden and the Bold Blossom Stand-Alone die sets. I stamped the sentiment onto the card base before adding the leaves and then again after adding the leaves, using the MISTI to help with perfect placement.
I love how the tone-on-tone leaves create a lot of texture on the background!
For this second card I wanted to create a recessed look, so I popped up the green cardstock panel after die-cutting the magnolia shape out of it. I added some strips of black and white cardstock and a sentiment from the Fancy Thanks stamp set onto vellum.
Here is a closer look at the recessed flower:

Mondo Magnolia - Technique #1
Hello All!
I am in love with the Mondo Magnolia stamp from the new Ellen Hutson spring release! I have been playing with it all day and will share some techniques I am using with this stamp over the next few days.
Today I used a "spotlight" technique - coloring only part of a black and white image. I stamped two identical 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panels using the MISTI to help me! I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink since I knew I was going to be using Copic markers to color in the images.
For this first card, I cut the "Hello" section of the card using my paper trimmer and colored the section with Copics.
I then popped up the colored panel using foam tape and added sequins.
For this second card I used MFT's Stitched Basic Edges dies to cut the rounded edge and colored the top section of the panel.
Again I popped up the colored section of the panel and added sequins.
Thanks for stopping by! Come back tomorrow to see another technique with this same stamp!
