6x6 One Sheet Wonder

As I'm sure most of you do, I have a problem with hoarding 6x6 paper pads. They are just too pretty to cut into! I found this blog post about using 6x6 paper pads with a One Sheet Wonder template to get the most bang from your buck. I loved the idea and decided the make my own OSW template to use with my many 6x6 paper pads. After many hours playing around with different cuts, I created this template which makes a total of eleven cards!

Click here to download a PDF of the template.

I started making my cards by choosing my paper pad. I chose to use Fancy Pants "ParkBench" which is a one-sided paper pad. If you use a double-sided paper pad you will have more choices when you put together your cards.

I then cut the paper using the template above. I created envelopes with each card labeled on the front so as I cut the pieces I could store the pieces with the other papers that go with each card. It makes finding and figuring out which piece goes with the other pieces much easier!

Here are my finished cards:

Cards 1A and 1B:

Cards 2A and 2B:

Cards 3A and 3B:

Cards 4A and 4B:

Card 5:

Cards 6A and 6B:

Here are all eleven cards together:

I hope you enjoy this template and get as much use out of it as I did!

Have a wonderful day!

SSS February Card Kit

I'm sharing some cards I made using the Simon Says Stamp February card kit today.

For this first card, I masked off the center area and stamped the flowers around the outside of the mask.

Before I took of the mask I used it to line up the die that I used to make the mask and embossed it using my Cuttlebug. I then embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder.

This next card using the row of circles stamp which I formed on the block to be in a wave shape. I stamped it with rainbow colors and added the sentiment inside the circle which was heat embossed with clear glitter embossing powder.

This last card focuses more on the beautiful paper that came in the kit. I cut strips of paper and did lots of simple sewing. I used the stickers to finish my own sentiment.

Taylored Expressions January SOTM

I have some cards to share today that I made with the Taylored Expressions Stamp of the Month kit. I love this stamp set - so much fun to play with!

This first card uses the heart stamp and lots of copic coloring. Subtle texture behind the hearts adds focus to the hearts. Here is a close up of the hearts and shows how they are popped up by foam tape.

This next card uses the "XO" stamp from the set. I stamped it several times on watercolor paper with versamark, using a Stamp-a-ma-jig to help with alignment. I heat embossed with clear embossing powder and then covered it with several distress inks: Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, Faded Jeans, and Tumbled Glass. After inking it up I spritzed it with pearl-ex and water. Super shimmery and fun!

This last card uses the dies from the "Love M'stache" set that coordinates with the kit. I loved the idea of using a "girly" flowery patterned paper to die cut the mustaches.

Splendid Sunflowers

Happy Saturday!

I really want to try to blog more often this year. I have been keeping myself busy making cards and I just need to find the time to sit down and blog them!

Today I have three different cards to share using MFT's Splendid Sunflower stamp set. Love it! I think this stamp is so versatile and can be used for literally any occasion. Clearly however, I think the sunflower belongs on kraft paper... :)

While making this first card I stumbled upon a happy coincidence - the Oval Tab Die-Namics was the exact same width as the rounded rectangle shape from the Blueprints 3 Die-Namics. Perfect, right?!

This next card uses a background stamp from Hero Arts which I think adds the perfect subtle touch.

Another get well soon card - clean and simple!

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
