Today I am sharing two cards I made using one of the newest Paper Smooches stamp sets called "Circle of Honor."
This first card is more traditional, based on the theme of the stamps. I used the ribbon stamp to create a background and then used the star outline and patterned paper to create the three red stars.
This next card was so much fun to make! I used both the solid star and the star outline to create the colorful stars and then made the "Thanks" in the same colors.

Stamps & Kisses
I created some cards using the kissing technique - and they both ended up being monochromatic cards!
This first one was made using the "Inspired by Nature" stamp from Stampin Up.

Fun With Felt
I found some felt in my overwhelming amount of supplies and decided to play around a little bit. This is the first time I have worked with felt and I like the results - fun and fluffy!
I also decided, while I was already trying new things, to make a skinny card, not something I usually do. Quick and simple.
I used the chevron stripes dies from My Favorite Things and a heart die from QuicKutz. Added the sewing on the chevron and the hearts to add that little extra something. :)

You Rock!
Today I have a quick card to share. I love bright colors and wanted to make a rainbow look using banners.
I did not have the perfect sized brads to hang on the top of my banners, so I decided to make my own "brads" using three layers of cardstock and lots of glossy accents.

I stamped and clear embossed the stars to make the cardstock look rockin!

Chevron Fun
Chevrons seem to be all the rage right now, and I decided to give them a shot and create my own chevrons using patterned paper.
I cut the patterned paper into half-inch strips and used a corner punch to create the mitered corners. All of this yummy paper is from My Mind's Eye "Lost and Found" paper pad. Here is a look before I attached it to the card and trimmed the edges off.
The flower stamp is from the Paper Smooches "Pretty Momma" stamp set. I clear embossed the flower on watercolor paper and then used distress inks to color the flower. I then spritzed it with lots of water with gold pearl-ex powder. The flower is super shimmery in person (don't think it shows up so much on the picture).

This is another card inspired by the current Paper Smooch SPARKS challenge. Apparently I have fallen in love with the blues and oranges of the inspiration picture! :)

Happy Everything!
I have another Paper Smooches card to share today. I used the new sets "Pretty Momma" and "Simply Said" to create this card.
I love this butterfly stamp from "Pretty Momma." I stamped several butterflies using Memento ink and then used lots of different copic markers to create the shading. I like to feather or flick the markers out from the center to get a textured look. Here are some close-ups.
I dry embossed the background, added matching rinestones and then used foam tape to pop up the butterflies.

The First Post...
Well, here it is. My very first blog post!
If you are reading this, thank you for checking my blog out! Please be patient with me! :)
For my first post, I decided to share two cards that I created for the current Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge.
Here is the inspiration photo:
For this first card I was inspired by the colors and the text as a focal point. I used the Paper Smooches set "Smarty Pants." I colored the books and professor with copics and paper pieced his shirt. I cut out the letters with my Sizzix dies and glued them on cork paper to keep with the school feel.
This second card is also inspired by the SPARKS inspiration picture, but mostly by the colors. I used the "Get Outta Town" PS set for this card. I colored the flowers and the adorable pineapple beverage with copics and then added Stickles glitter to give it the fabulous touch it needed!
I love Paper Smooches and had a great time making these cards!
